REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

To ensure safety, legal compliance and the quality of the services delivered, COTESA requires specific documentation from all its suppliers and service providers.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS

Activities that require environmental qualification:

  • Urban pest control
  • Solid waste collection and transport
  • Water tank cleaning and sanitising
  • Water quality analysis, including sample collection
  • Septic tank sludge removal (vacuum truck)
  • Air conditioning maintenance

Environmental documents required:

  • Environmental licence (or a declaration of exemption for the activity)
  • Business operating permit
  • Health and sanitary licence
  • Technical responsibility record (ART) signed by the responsible engineer, where required

Note: all documents must be under the same company registration number (CNPJ) and within their validity period.

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

For each worker:

  • Copy of the employment record book (CTPS) and the employee registration form
  • Copy of the company registration card (CNPJ), for self-employed contractors
  • Photo ID (national ID card or driving licence)
  • Valid occupational health certificate (ASO) covering every hazard of the activity
  • Signed safety work order under Brazilian standard NR 1
  • Signed NR 10 Basic certificate (electrical safety)
  • Signed NR 10 SEP certificate (electrical power system safety)
  • Personal protective equipment record
  • NR 11 certificate (load handling)
  • NR 12 certificate (machinery and equipment)
  • NR 35 certificate (work above 2 metres)

For the company:

  • Risk management and occupational health programmes (PGR and PCMSO)
  • Emergency plan or emergency contact
  • Rigging plan and technical responsibility record (ART) when using a crane

TO ACCESS THE FACILITIES (CONTROLLED AREAS)

Employees of the contracted company must:

Comply with COTESA’s safety protocol
People fitted with a pacemaker are not allowed on site
Wear Class II flame-resistant clothing at all times
Wear electrician’s safety footwear
Wear a Class B helmet with a chin strap
Sign the third-party warning form when entering a substation
